Jesse Lopez, CEO and President
Jesse Lopez is President and Chief Executive Officer of SourceOne™ Global Partners. Lopez has more than 25 years of experience in the nutrition and health market as a leader in launching innovative, science-backed products to the dietary supplement and functional foods industry. He has held executive positions, directed business growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions, and has guided several leading companies through extensive international business development.

Lopez founded SourceOne Global Partners in 2003 with a mission to represent a new breed of ingredient supplier by introducing powerfully branded, science-driven products to market.  With the development of an all-star team, healthy partnerships with brand manufacturers and marketers, and a network of exclusive alliances with top nutritional ingredient research and development companies,  Lopez’s success has proven to be immediate with the sales growth and brand awareness for SourceOne’s award winning Cholesstrinol family of heart healthy formulas as well as OmegaChoice™ Concentrated Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs), CoQsource® Bio-Enhanced Coenzyme Q10, SterolSource® Phytosterols, and more.

Before forming SourceOne, Lopez led the sales and marketing team at Cognis Nutrition and Health, formerly Henkel.  Lopez also served as executive vice president of NHS, the North American arm of Horphag Research, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

Lopez remains recognized for his accomplishments in the animal nutrition and pet products market and has served in executive positions for companies including Ralston Purina and PCS.

Mr. Lopez earned his undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri State University and is the 1995 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Rob Maltas, Director of Business Development, Science & Innovation
Rob Maltas is the Director of Business Development, Science & Innovation at SourceOne. Maltas has over 30 years of experience, mostly in technology, innovation, product development, and sales and business growth. Management and development of major global business initiatives and alliance development will be key areas of stewardship. Maltas is responsible for identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and providing expertise on scientific, technical and global regulatory affairs.

He brings a global perspective and wealth of diverse experience to SourceOne. He grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe (formerly Salisbury, Rhodesia), went to the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and started his career with IBM in Croydon, Surrey, England. Most recently, he spent 18 years with ProCaps Laboratories, Las Vegas, Nevada, in positions ranging from Vice President of Sales to Director of Product Development. He oversaw Research & Development and Quality Assurance.

Maltas, along with Andrew Lessman, was one of the founding members of ProCaps. Originally called The Winning Combination, ProCaps Labs produces an extraordinarily successful line of additive-free supplements, including an exclusive line for the Home Shopping Network (HSN).

Dr. Zheng-Xian Liu, Chief Scientific Consultant
Dr. Zheng-Xian Liu, Ph.D. received his doctoral degree in biochemical nutrition and gerontology, and is especially trained in the fields of antioxidants and free radical biomedicine. Dr. Liu was a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Advancement in Medicine, and has published more than 70 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals, including chapters in Science Yearbook and graduate textbooks. Dr. Liu has more than 36 years of experience in research and development.

SourceOne’s scientific research is led by the Scientific Advisory Board. This board is comprised of leading researchers and scientists in the fields of health and wellness and innovative technologies from around the world. Together, the Scientific Advisory Board helps guide the future of SourceOne and our branded products and technologies, lending their expertise and knowledge of the rapid changes in their specific fields directly into the research and development process at SourceOne. They will separately and collectively advise on such key issues as product development and research, as well as legal and regulatory issues.
